Creating a safe and caring environment for our youth is an important and ongoing task in which we all play an integral role. The Peer-to-Peer Impact seminar is a great start, or addition, to any teacher or youth librarian’s tool box.

In this youth mental health seminar, participants will learn how to help the youth in their community utilize the interactive Youth Well-being Handbook. The strategies outlined in the handbook will help students cultivate mental well-being skills using a mental health toolkit and an implementation guide.

We encourage you to send a youth librarian and manager/director from different library systems who can share the training in their communities. This event is intended as a train-the-trainer. There are two sessions; one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

This well-established, successful program was created at ASU and the training opportunity is provided by ASU and AzLA, free of charge.
